Activate or Extend a License

To activate or extend a license you must first obtain a Product Key, which can be purchased in our online Shop. After your purchase you receive an email message with your Product Key. To activate your Product Key follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you have a working internet connection.

  2. Open HitmanPro.Alert and click on the License icon in the lower right corner of the main screen:



  3. The Activation panel appears. Select ACTIVATE LICENSE to enter your Product Key:



  4. Enter the Product Key from the email message that your received from cleverbridge AG, our payment provider.

    Click on ACTIVATE PRODUCT KEY to verify and bind the license to your computer.



    To avoid typos, you can copy and paste the Product Key from the email message into the input box in HitmanPro.Alert.

    Note: If the A server error occured message appears, please check your input and try again.



  5. When activation succeeds (this can take a minute) you return to the main screen.
    The remaining license time is shown in the License button, visible in the lower right corner of the main screen:







Lost Product Key

Our online Shop is operated by Cleverbridge AG and automatically sends the Product Key in an email message. If you paid through iDEAL using a credit card or through PayPal, you should receive your product key within 15 minutes. If you opted to you a wire transfer, you will receive an email message containing payment instructions. After the transfer is complete, it may take up to three days for you transaction to be processed, at which time, you will receive your Product Key.

If you have not received an email from Cleverbridge, be sure to check you Junk Mail and Spam folder.

If you lost your Product Key, look your all purchase by entering the email address used for your purchase.




Activate Trial License

HitmanPro.Alert offers home users a free one-time license, valid for thirty days. During first use setup after initial installation, HitmanPro.Alert automatically attempts to request a free license from the license server. This requires a working internet connection.

To manually activate the trial license, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you have a working internet connection.

  2. Click on Product is not activated in the lower right corner of the main screen:



  3. On the Activation / LICENSE SELECTION screen, select TRIAL LICENSE



    When the button TRIAL LICENSE is greyed out, there are several possibilities you can check:
    • The trial license is already active
      Solution: No action needed unless your want to purchase a license in our Shop.

    • The free trial has been used before but has expired
      Solution: Please purchase a commercial license in our Shop.

    • The computer is part of a business network
      Solution: The free trial license is only available to home users. If your computer is part of a business network please purchase a license in our Shop.

  4. The TRAIL LICENSE screen appears.
    Enter your email address and click on REQUEST TRIAL LICENSE



  5. When activation succeeds (this can take a minute) you return to the main screen and if all is well it will mention You are protected against cyber attacks



    The remaining trial time (expiration) is shown in the lower right corner of the main screen.
